SEC Week 4 Predictions

Well, I finally dropped a few last week. The odds finally caught up to me. In retrospect, I should've picked MSU as my upset special. Thought Vandy had more than that. So that puts me at 24-3 (89%). And, we're already to week 4 of this young SEC season. Let's hope it's as entertaining as last week.

Auburn 44 vs Ball State 9 (+33)
AU should have all the starters pulled by the 4th quarter. Heard mentioned the other day that Ball St. may be the 1st team in history to go 12-0, then 0-12 in back-to-back seasons!

Bama 41 vs Arkansas 28 (+17.5)
I can envision Bama getting off to a quick start and looking to blow out the 'Hogs. Then after Arkansas scores a couple times, almost secretly, they're within 10 points. The crowd gets a little restless. Then, Bama punches another 1 in and grabs a turnover to seal it. I don't know really. Maybe not. But it'd be funny if it happened like I said.

LSU 27 @ Miss. St. 17 (+13)
I'd be real tempted to take the points in this 1. I'm not entirely sold on LSU. And MSU surprised me last week handling what I thought was a decent Vandy team on the road. This might actually be a good game.

Florida 45 @ Kentucky 20 (+22)
Tennessee kept UF under control last week. However, I'm pretty certain UT's D is much better than the Cats'. Florida will be looking to get back to true form. And UK looked very unimpressive last week. If they're not careful, the 'Cats could get embarrassed here.

Georgia 35 vs Arizona St. 21 (+12)
Georgia looked pretty darn good last week. They'll host a pesky ASU team. But, the Dawgs should be able to outscore these cross-country Devils.

Tennessee 38 vs Ohio 10 (+23)
Nothing to see here. Carry on...

***UPSET SPECIAL***
S. Carolina 37 vs Ole Miss 30 (-4.5)
We'll now find out how good Ole Miss really is. They're facing an unranked opponent as the #4 team in the nation and are only 4.5 point favorites. That tells you how much America disagrees with the popularity polls. I fully expect Spurrier to find some weaknesses in the Reb's defense. Not sure if they'll be able to keep up with Ole Miss on the scoreboard. But with Spurrier, there's always a good chance.
